You’re Carrying More Than You Think

You’re Carrying More Than You Think

You don’t notice it at first.

Because you’ve been carrying it for so long…
it feels normal.

The weight.
The tension.
The constant low-level pull you can’t quite explain.

You think it’s just life.

Responsibilities.
Expectations.
The things you’ve committed to.

But not everything you’re carrying…
belongs to you.

Some of it was handed to you.

Without permission.
Without question.
Without you realizing you could ever put it down.

Beliefs that were never yours.
Standards you didn’t create.
Versions of yourself you stepped into… because it was easier than resisting them.

And over time…

You stopped questioning it.

You just kept carrying.

Adding more.
Adjusting your posture.
Convincing yourself you could handle it.

And you can.

That’s not the problem.

The problem is…

You were never meant to carry all of it.

Because the more you take on that isn’t aligned…

The less room you have for what is.

Clarity.
Energy.
Direction.

They don’t disappear.

They just get buried.

Under everything you’ve decided to hold onto.

So the question isn’t:

“How do I carry this better?”

It’s:

“Why am I still carrying it at all?”

Because strength isn’t about holding everything together.

It’s about knowing what to release.

What to leave behind.
What to stop identifying with.
What no longer deserves your energy.

And when you start doing that…

Something shifts.

You don’t feel lighter because life got easier.

You feel lighter because you stopped carrying what wasn’t yours.

You don’t need more capacity. You need less that isn’t you.
